What was the highlight of Tulip Inn Al Khan Hotel
Good location, helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds,...
Good location, helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, free parking without pre-ordering, a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. I did not use a shuttle bus to the beach, but I saw it is offered by the hotel (not free). I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, but the lady on reception organized the room till10 am (it was really pleasant after night flight).
Breakfast is strange, let's say like this. There is a variety of dishes with beans, but if do not like it, your choice of hot food is not wide: on one day I found something like baked minced meat and eggs, on another day- potato, and the next day - scrambled eggs. But at the same time, you can find a lot of greens, cucumbers and tomatoes, olives and 3 or 4 types of cheese, 3 types of sweets, some fruits, 2 juices, coffee and tea. The "weak point" of the restaurant, in my opinion, is the untimely replenishment of dishes at the buffet: some of the food containers were empty when we came and remained empty during all the time, while we had breakfast (it was near 9:30 am, more than 1 hour till the end of breakfast).

Check in was quick, but that’s where it stops
We got to our room to find it smelling like smoke. I phoned reception, they said it is a non-smoking room(although there’s an ashtray in the room), they said they will get back to me about changing the room. They didn’t phone back, I phoned after waiting 20min, just to be told that it is a non-smoking room, and they are not going to do anything except spraying air freshener (great solution right?) I went down to reception, again they said all the non-smoking rooms were full (the hotel was not very busy, so I do not believe that). Next; breakfast was exactly the same mediocre food both mornings, no station for fried eggs/omelettes or any fresh food, just big silver dishes with boiled eggs, mashed potatoes, baked beans, hash browns and chicken nuggets (the highlight I guess were the chicken nuggets) Valet parking was okay except we got back to the hotel at around 21:00, they told me to leave my keys in the car so they can take it (quite normal) I went upstairs to put some stuff in our smokey room, when I got back down after about 10min my car was still outside, engine still on and no-one around (I know UAE is a safe county but it still makes me uneasy to have my car available for anyone walking by). This is not the hotel’s fault l, but Sharjah is not the best area if you want to visit the UAE, there’s nothing around (unless you want to chill in your room) Finally, we went to the sauna & jacuzzi, there was no-one there to help us, I used the phone on the desk to phone reception so they can send someone. Like I said, I don’t give a lot of negative reviews but this place made me look really good at bad ratings. Never again...

Nonostante l'Hotel fosse nuovo (costruito da appena 1 anno) la moquette nella nostra stanza era molto sporca, inoltre nel bagno c'erano ancora dei capelli dell'ospite di prima! Durante la prima notte nella stanza in parte alla nostra c'erano bambini che piangevano e strillavano in continuazione; abbiamo telefonato in reception ma non hanno risolto il problema, anzi la notte seguente è peggiorata (stanze per nulla insonorizzate). Hotel sotto le aspettative, non da 4 stelle. Consiglio generale: non soggiornate a El Sharja se volete visitare Dubai
